Hole.

After days and days of rain and being put off due to city permits and such, "The Claw" arrived yesterday.

No turning back now!
This is where Little R parked herself ALL DAY. Beats having to watch Dora, the same episode, for the 9th time in a row.

The far left is the hot tub which spills over into a small channel that feeds the kiddie pool and then that dumps into the main pool.

Where all the guys are standing is the "grotto". It'll be a waterfall that you can go back under where there is a circular bench to hang out and just listen to the water....relaxing right?
And the digging is complete. I have no idea what steps are to follow but the official outline is done and we are one step closer to a party!

EasterSpiderDuckRody??

Mr. D was starting the nightly ritual of getting jammies on last night and when G wasn't answering he finally went into little R's room and found G like this...

Don't you love the way the Spiderman Costume sets off the bunny ears? Have I mentioned how much this kid LOVES to dress up in costumes. He gets excited at church when they do little "live" scenes and he gets to put a towel on his head like a Shepherd or something. Silly Boy.

Speleeng klas

G just got home from school and I always go through his backpack right out of the gate to help him re-live his day in a speech therapy sense. Well, I pulled this worksheet out today and had a good chuckle....

I asked G to read these words to me because supposedly he can according to the statement at the top of the worksheet and here is what he sounded out to me:

1: VLEN = Violin

2: PACPAC = Backpack

3: GREN= Green

4: BUN= Button

5: FRE= Free

Bless the kids heart, he's trying so hard. Last week his teacher sent a note home stating that she was working on getting G to draw other things he sees besides Transformers, he's obsessed. He brings his Jesus coloring pages home from church too and he will somehow turn Jesus into an Autobot or Decepticon, which ever fits his mood at the time. Autism certainly can make for a good laugh sometimes.

Lickety Split

We went from a lump of a baby in a body cast to a "real" baby that CAN....
Snuggle right into the crook of her daddy's arm, AND....
Already rolling over to one side in just 5 days!!! (And, did you notice, she's wearing ACTUAL jammies, not just her standard t-shirts?!?!) AND.....

JUMPING FOR JOY!!!!! Congrats baby R on making it through that horrible harness for 5 months and the awful body cast for almost 3! We love you darlin', you are surely well on your way to conquering the world now!

*Free*

Baby R is a free bird!!!! She isn't a real happy camper right now, she obviously feels really strange and I'm sure the cast saw is still reminiscing in her mind. She's yet to take a nap for more than 5 minutes but I'm not going to complain because I'm sure she'll adapt faster to being free than when she was confined. Next appointment isn't for another month w/another x-ray to determine if the cruiser brace will be necessary or not.

No smiles today but I'm sure the 30 minute REAL bath I gave her had to loosen some of those muscles right? It's a good day and I look forward to buying her complete outfits again, not just t-shirts!

Hi! I'm an adult tonight....

It's been a long time since Mr. D and myself have been out with friends. Last night we had a really fun evening w/all our (most) neighbors. I think our neighborhood has really great people, very friendly, and most of us are transplants so we have that in common amongst us.
This is some of the group chatting away about all kinds of stuff!
This is my new best friend to know, Patty (and her hilarious hubby). I found out last night her brother-in-law is the president of the Autism Society for our county!! If you blink you may miss the fact that I posted a pic of none other than, myself. It was still toasty out at 9:00pm so I'm a little sweaty but the conversation was too good to go inside. And yes, making his debut is the one and only, Mr. D on my blog! Say "hello" everyone.
Nothing better than Good Food, Good Friends and Good laughs!

THANK YOU everyone who helped me with my family dilemma. Everyone gave me great stuff to think about and if you have anymore ideas, you obviously know where to find me! Loves to all of you!
