G's birthday is coming up so I'll be in G overload for awhile, deal with it. I've been going through old random photos and it's amazing how many memories come back just by seeing a photo.
I remember this day being so nice and decided to take him outside to sit on the front lawn (we didn't have much of a backyard at this particular house that is nicknamed, "Margaret's"). We knew he was developmentally delayed at this point but no clear diagnosis yet. However, viewing this photo his cute clinched fists he'd do should have been more of a sign to us all.
Getting "burped".
G's 1st year photos. I remember finding his darling navy linen pants at the Gap along with his polo. I saved this outfit, it was such a great look for him;)
Chillin' in his saucer at "Margaret's".
Another nice summer day at Lake Riley near our home. He had just finally learned to drink from a sippy cup!!
G's first Halloween. We had been shopping at Babies R' Us and found this adorable devils costume, it had a cute tail on the back. He looked so awesome, his cheeks poking out of the hat just made you want to eat him up!
After his first haircut. He looks so clean. No one ever tells you that when you have a boy, they require A LOT of haircuts to keep them looking good! G started getting haircuts when he was only 8 months old.
Funny kid, he always walked up to the Christmas tree and screamed at it. He wasn't mad, it was just what he felt like doing I guess. See his Elmo, those white eyes of his G used to munch on. We still have that Elmo but his eyes aren't really white anymore, more yellow-y. One of G's first words was "Elmo" except he'd say it, "bobo".
A fresh faced newborn. I find this picture fascinating because if you notice his left hand is curled, most would argue this is what newborns do, but G has always had a problem with his left side. He has never officially been diagnosed with 'hypotonia' aka, low muscle tone, but looking back through photos, it's always been there.
Can't believe how time has to fly by, I wish it would stop so I could focus more on what I'm seeing. Anyway, I'm in the process of planning a birthday party for G and 25 of his friends, yes, 25!! He deserves to be treated equally with any other typical child despite his differences and quirks. So, the more friends G makes now that look past his quirks, the more friends he'll have in Junior High and High School.
I love re-visiting memory lane:)
