It's BLOODY Hot!!

You know, when living in the cold tundra of the North every February I dreamed of palm trees and ocean breezes.  Now, every June-December I dream of the tundra!  Summer weather in this state is not what you think it is.  It is an agonizing heat that eats away at you.  Don't bother doing your hair, your head sweats so fast as soon as you walk outside that all that pomade, root lifter, hairspray...whatever you use, begins to melt down the back of your neck and onto your forehead.  You look like a hot mess, literally!  It's frustrating to have to tell your kids they can't go outside to play because it's 3 minutes to heat stroke and severe sunburns.  It's so strange to see the sun but not be able to tolerate it.  Don't get me wrong, I enjoy summer, as long as it's pleasant and sitting under a shade tree brings a nice relief and makes your picnic so enjoyable.  We don't get those moments here though.  Do you understand yet, that when I say, "it's bloody hot" I'm not joking?  I just need to survive until the heat begins to leave again, around December.

PS.  Yes, I do have a pool but w/o the hubs, I can't safely watch 3 small children plus myself.  So, until he gets home, we all suffer each others sweaty company.
