So guess who is back in the headlines???? Yep, you guessed it....Baby R. It has been such a long road with this little one that when new things creep up or come back to bite I start to shut down (so it feels). Here are two new additions to our lives.

First off, at the 4 week mark of being sans Spica Cast an x-ray revealed that Baby R's left hip is beginning to loosen again. She was immediately put into a Cruiser Brace in hopes to force that hip socket back down. I'm allowed to take Baby R out of the brace for some periods during the day but for the sake of a picture, I wasn't going to put her in it during her break time. I hate this thing because I still don't have a free baby!

And the newest addition.....the DOC Band!! Baby R has been lying flat on her back since birth due to the Pavlik Harness in the beginning, the Spica Cast over the summer and now the Cruiser Brace which all have turned her noggin into one, hot misshapen mess. After some digital pictures with a pantyhose stuck over her entire head (literally, my baby looked like a bank robber!) they were able to custom fit this new hat to her problem spots. This isn't going to be fun with her dressed in plastic from head to toe. I'm on the waiting list to get her new DOC Band shrink wrapped professionally by a graphics company so when she gets her new hat all dolled up I'll post another pic. In the meantime, I'm going to figure out how to make lemonade still from life's rotten lemons.
