It's Halloween!

I love Baby R but for every photo she always says, "say cheese, I close my eyes".  And she does.

Little R chose to carve a Belle.  More on this later......

Obviously we didn't trust a 2yo with knives so we opted to buy a Mrs. Princess Potato kit for baby R and it turned out adorable!

So the Belle pumpkin.  She was a NIGHTMARE to carve!  Little R poked most of the dots then she realized she had taken on way more than she could chew.  So, I poked the rest of the holes and carved about half and that is when Mr. D then took over and finished her up.  She looks great, but I won't be recommending a 5yo take on a difficult pattern again.

And they are off to go trick-or-treating!!  This is Baby R's first time going and she was an absolute pro, you would have thought she had gone a million times.

Be safe and have fun everyone!

Halloween {Party}.

This year we have a Vampire, Bumble Bee and Belle!

Every year a family we attend church with opens their amazing, huge, gorgeous home to all us "common folk" for a great Halloween get Together. We are also encouraged to invite all our friends/neighbors in the community (don't worry, it's not to convert them, just to have fun!) so it ends up being a pretty big deal.  That's my Baby R "flying" around the backyard.  She kept yelling "flap, flap, flap".  Cute.

G giving me his scary Vampire look.

In the horse stables, they set up a movie theater.  My girls loved watching the Snoopy Halloween special they had on.

Ah yes, the infamous barrel train.  No kid can go home until they take a ride in the barrel train:)

G can't get enough of the barrel train.  He loves it so much he's even Ok with letting his baby sister ride with him!

Baby R LOVES animals.  They brought out a baby goat and she was so quick to show loves to it (it was adorable though so it was hard not to pet and hug this little animal).

G played the "kid" version of a pig race.  He BARELY lost, but he still loved playing.

People feasting on the annual chili cook off and cornbread fare.

Each of my kids HAD to get a face painting.  Little R chose a unicorn.

You can't tell cause Baby R wouldn't hold still but she chose a purple heart.

And G wanted a spooky ghost.  He was all about everything being "spooky" this year.  I dare say Halloween is his favorite holiday:)

G showing me his Vampire wings.

And thankfully all the games have an option of a toy or candy so my allergy kid still gets a prize.  He chose scary Vampire teeth, need I say more?

If you are ever in my neck of the woods around Halloween, you definitely have to attend with us to this great Halloween party, your kids will LOVE you for it!

Happy Halloween!

Almost... {Halloween}.

Every year we decorate a "spooky house" but this year, it was a spooky graveyard.  This was Baby R's first year contributing and she did pretty good!

I think my kids did a great job!  Now to put finishing touches on the costumes, stay tuned.....

Happy Birthday to {Mr. D}.

By now, I'm sure you know I have a BFF cake lady that can do the best GFCFSFEF cakes this side of the Mississippi!  I had this one done up for Mr. D's birthday and I love how it turned out!

The top.

G loves seeing what his dad gets, I think he secretly hopes it will be a new video game he can play:)  Not this time G, just a boring ol' shirt that is 100 times too big for you:)

Mr. D showing his birthday appreciations to Little R:)

Happy Birthday {Mr. D} I hope we did you proud:)

My First {Foto}.

Remember my new Nikon D5100 that I'm in love with?  Well, this was the first foto I took with it that made me fall madly in love with it.  Doesn't G look amazing?  Such a good lookin' kid don't ya think?

Update on G: We are looking into taking G out of state for further treatments.  I'm super excited as I feel so strongly that answers to prayers may be on the horizon.  More to come on this new adventure......

Baby R's 1st Haircut.

I have officially felt sad at each of my kids 1st haircuts.  Why?  It's a sign of them growing up and I have to "grow up" with them:(

Baby R did FANTASTIC!  No tears, no wiggles, no "ouch, you hurting me" etc...  She got to watch her fave, The Little Einsteins while she got her cut and I don't even think she cared what was happening as she was more interested in the show.

All Done!  Her curls are still intact, phew!  And still adorable:)

IT CAME!!!

After a few months of patiently waiting for Little R's custom made bed and dresser.....

They Arrived!!!!!
We still have a lot of "accessorizing" to do, but her bed is gorgeous and Little R is happy to finally have it.

The dresser is nice, but I'm not thrilled with the handles, I think I am going to find some adorable colored crystal ones to spruce it up a bit more, but other than that, Little R loves it as is:)
