Me vs. Pediatrician
I guess it's finally time I put in my opinions on vaccines seeing as I am an, "Auti" mom. It seems more and more these days I get asked if I believe vaccines caused my childs Autism. My answer to this is, "yes and no". There is so much detail and medical information that is never shared with the public unless you take the time to dig through pediatric journals of medicine and lawsuits. So, I'll try to explain what I think happened that caused my child to not develop correctly. Again, this is only my opinion.
First off, my child NEVER spiraled backwards after his MMR (measles, mumps, rubella-12 months) shot. Looking back at old videos of him as an infant, something was always "off" which leads me to believe he was born with an weakened immune system to begin with. When you take a tiny newborn who has an immune system the size of a pin head and immediately start pumping live viruses into them, something is bound to happen. Starting in the hospital they start with the Hep B shot which if you read up on it, you'll find that this shot was designed to give to adults when an outbreak of Hep B happened in the 70's. They asked all adults to come get this Hep B shot and when no one showed up they added it to the schedule of newborn vaccinations. Hep B, jokingly, but serious at the same time, is what hookers get....my baby isn't a hooker standing on the corner waiting to turn it's next trick.
Manufactures of vaccines have been caught in lies about ingredients that were supposedly "taken out" that are considered unsafe for human ingestion. When certain manufactures were caught (lawsuit that you can read up on online), they somehow were able to get the American Pediatric Association to "have their back" and it is now "safe" in small quantities for small infants to ingest ingredients such as antifreeze, mercury, aluminum and formaldehyde. It isn't rocket science to now that mercury ingestion in any form (even an infant who breastfeeds) can have irreversable brain damage.
Also, pediatricians do not do standardized allergy testing to see if a baby is intolerant to eggs which a lot of vaccines contain (live viruses are incubated inside eggs). My child is intolerant to eggs and we never knew until we had allergy testing done after his diagnosis. It is advised that anyone with an egg allergy not get shots that contain egg. I think part of the issue could have been avoided had they drawn a little blood to see if his immune system could handle eggs or not.
Another shot, Prevnar, you'll notice is given to your baby twice before age 2. This is NOT necessary. If you wait until the child is at least 2 or older (not older than 10) the shot only needs to be given once. Why give a baby more shots if it's not needed???? In Europe, vaccines used to begin when the child turned 4 years old and the country had very little incidences of brain issues but as they began to add more vaccines and up their time frame to begin in infancy as the USA is doing, they are showing HUGE increases in Autism. It is not safe for a child to be vaccinated before they age of 4.
Because so many chemicals and hidden ingredients go into a vaccine I believe there is a safer time table of how to vaccinate a child. I do believe vaccines are important, but there needs to be a safer schedule. Right now there is a gentleman at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN who is developing a test to give infants before vaccinations to determine what vaccines they should have and should not but at the time I read it, the project was being funded only by him and close colleagues which if more funding doesn't go towards this test, he'll have to stop and I'm sure we'll continue to see an increase in Autism.
In short, I believe we live in a toxic environment and when mixed with even more toxic chemicals we are going to see injuries in children in the form of Autism, allergies, asthma and ADD/ADHD.
Do I regret vaccinating my child? No, I think it's important to keep them healthy. However, I do regret I didn't do my homework BEFORE they were born. I am now smarter and if you ask me if I have vaccinated my newest baby R...the answer is a big, HELLLL NO!!!!! I signed a document in the hospital declining the first HEP B shot and researched to have a safer vaccination schedule for her. She will be vaccinated but it's a very slow approach and no combo shots will be used (such as the MMR), everything will be split up and given singlely to avoid immune system overload.
We don't live in a clean environment anymore and so when you shove a dirty, preservative filled world into a seringe and shove it several times into a baby, I think Autism is going to happen. It's sad, that Autism is the fastest growing neurodevelopment issue and still recieves the least amount of funding and insurance companies are doing everything they can to avoid paying for services to help these kids (all thanks to the American Pediatric Association).
Be safe, and educate yourself when it comes to your newborns and their care. It's high time pediatricians get off their high horse and start listening to parents, we aren't dumb, you'll see we were right all along.

Thank you for this post! I struggled a lot with this when Jordan was little. I worried that EVERYTHING was going to cause him autism (standing in front of the microwave, tuna fish, immunizations, etc.). I did end up delaying a few of his immunizations so that he wasn't getting so many all at once. The next time around I am going to be even more cautious thanks to the information you've posted!
Thanks for the post. I've been researching this issue myself this last week and share some of the same opinions. Moms are not stupid! You don't have to be an expert to understand these things.
