Light, are you there yet?

There is a road that goes through Northern, MN that has a long, dark tunnel. When you are in the tunnel you think, "man, when is the light going to appear again up ahead?". You know the light is coming, the tunnel is just a bit longer than you'd expect. This is how I feel with my Baby R right now. I know the light is coming at the end of this tunnel, I just can't see it quite yet.

Yesterday I took her over to the hospital to get an X-ray to take back to her Orthopedist today. Good news came when Dr. Canada said that both hips were sitting in correct position but since the left hip is so much more loose than the right, he is tacking on one more week of this first initial 6 weeks in the cast. However, I do have a date to look forward too, the half way mark if you will, which is Aug. 17th. She is tentatively scheduled that morning to get this first cast off and replaced with a new one. Then the second 6 weeks will begin. However, when the cast is removed, she'll still have to be in another type of harness (different from the initial harness) for at least 2-3 months, possibly longer depending on how things go. So, in the meantime, I'll just keep watching for the light up ahead, I know it's coming.
