We stayed in Midway at the Zermatt Resort it was a great home away from home for us:) After breakfast on the 3rd day, I went to take a photo of the gingerbread house in the lobby but of course my kids all assumed they were supposed to be in the photo so they hopped in, lol!
You guys know you are technically photo bombing my picture, right? But, you all are cute so I guess you can stay.
After breakfast, we had a fun day ahead, starting with, a trip to....
The North Pole!!! There is an old railroad in the next town over that decks itself out for Christmas and from what I hear, a Halloween adventure as well. We decided to take our kids on a fun trip to see Santa:)
My kids in the train depot, waiting and waiting, and waiting.... I don't know why they tell you to arrive and hour early, to be honest, there wasn't a real reason to. But, we did as we were told.
We got outside by the train for some photos while we waited to board.
Silly cutouts for photo ops were out there, we had a lot of fun with the face cutouts as you can see:)

We finally are "all aboard"! As we boarded, they gave us souvenir sacks that had a mug and our North Pole collector ticket inside.
Everyone was excited for the train ride to the North Pole!! As we journeyed along, there was lots of Christmas caroling, stories being told, games being played, it was a lot of fun:)
Hot chocolate and cookies were handed out along the way too:)

I loved this Elf, she cracked me up the whole train ride! Can you see who is making his way onto the train behind her??
SANTA CLAUS!!!! He visited with each family personally, it was a beautiful moment:)
Santa gave each of us a Christmas bell.
So sweet:)
Of course, once Santa made his way through the train car, we all broke out into a lovely rendition of Jingle Bells (it got loud but it was fun).
After Santa left, Mrs. Claus came through and handed out her "famous chocolate chip cookie" recipe. And after that, the dancing and silliness went into overdrive all the way back to the depot! Little R was chosen to be the leader of the "conga" line:)
G and Baby R were in the middle on the way down the aisle....
But on the way back, they were both in the back. How did that happen kiddos?
Tons of singing, tons of smiles, tons of fun!!
To finish up our trip to the North Pole, they had the kids come up to tell jokes (there was a helper with joke cards).
Even Baby R got to tell a joke:) Definitely well worth our money spent to do this excursion. It was an hour and a half long but there was so much activity going on it went by so fast! We'd definitely do this again!
That evening we met up with my parents to go see the lights at Temple Square in downtown SLC. Baby R with G'pa B:)
Little R got beat out by the light of the background but all around the grounds were different nativities from around the world.
Of course, SLC's famous landmark, the Mormon Temple, it's gorgeous!!

It was chilly but thankfully the old historic tabernacle and assembly hall were open to visitors so we hopped in to get warm with others who were obviously doing the same:)
I'm not sure how old these organ pipes are but they sure are pretty.
Are you tired yet kiddos, you've had a long fun day, ready to go back to the hotel? Baby R finally told me she wanted to go to bed, so even though there was more to see, it was late and we had about a 50 minute drive back up the mountain to our resort. You three were troopers!!
Yes, there is more of this trip, don't leave yet....
