Goodbye Anaheim, Hello {San Diego}!

It's time to say goodbye to the pool view from our hotel in Anaheim.
Get the kids ready to go.
And head to THE BEST Whole Foods grocery store I've ever been to, hands down!  There are these GINORMOUS hangars by the Whole Foods in Tustin, they are so tall they actually have their own atmosphere inside, crazy!  We grabbed some lunch and then hit the road to go to grandma & grandpa's place in San Diego.
You know you are definitely getting close to San Diego when you start seeing large ships out in the ocean.

Helicopters were getting large crates and bringing them to shore.

Lots of military men were on the shoreline gathering these large crates.
Brings back lots of memories as a kid for me coming down here to San Diego and seeing the tankers and ships out on the horizon.
Finally made it to grandma & grandpa's house!
After taking a scenic drive through town we stopped at the beach by grandma & grandpa's house for a short bit.

This girl is falling in love with the beach!

Grandma and grandpa helping Baby R find sea shells.
Grandma LOVES living by the water, she craves it so it's no wonder she made grandpa move after he retired;)
After a quick trip to the beach we decided to go take a harbor cruise.  The walk to the harbor boats was completely entertaining.  Someone sculpted a HUGE replica of the famous kiss in New York's Time Square after the war, my kids were laughing at how "gross" it was that they were kissing;)
I'm so glad these guys are still around as I remember them vividly when I was a kid walking this same area.  Put $$ in their can and they move like a robot, my kids were totally weirded out, it was awesome!
A retired navy ship that is now open for tours.
Our chariot awaits!
Get our quick souvenir photo op.
And off we go....to a sunny spot hoping to get warm.  It's amazing how chilly it can get on the ocean.  We were burning hot at Disneyland during the days and now we are freezing (well, 3 of us are, Mr. D and his clone Little R are both built like furnaces, they are never cold).
See, she's perfectly fine, not cold at all:)

Warming up a little bit (little bit).

At the half way point of our harbor cruise, we were fortunate that it was the Sea Lion's sunning time:)  It was amazing to see these animals just lounging around without a care in the world.
It's amazing to be out on the ocean but it's time to go back to shore and get some lunch!
Baby R is at that stage where she doesn't need a stroller but lengthier walks we sure could use one cause she is so slow.  Thankfully, a pedi-cab came to our rescue!  For only $15 he pedaled us all to the shops at Seaport Village, totally worth it!  My kids laughed hysterically, this was just as fun as a ride at Disneyland;)
At lunch, the military was quite active, this huge air craft carrier came by as we were eating, it was a spectacular site!  You can see all the military men & woman standing on the edge if you look close.

It's been great out here on the ocean today but we all need a little R&R so we headed back to grandma and grandpa's to relax for the rest of the day.
