My hubby's nephew is staying with us right now while he house hunts as he recently accepted a new position in this area. He had to leave his family behind for the time being so we tried to make up for the fact that he wasn't going to get to celebrate his birthday with his wife and kids. So this post is really for them....
I have a fantastic BFF Cake Lady. You may remember my posting I did on G's birthday cake? Well, Ben is GFCFSFEF and I made sure his cake fit those exact specifications.
Ben flies Helicopters. So, I had the Texas flag draped over the cake with some barbed wire adorning the cake to give it a TX feel and to say, "welcome to TX!". Then topped it with a helipad complete with the orange windsock. Fun right?!? I think it was a good idea on my part.

All the boys excited over Ben's new gaming headphones Mr. D got him. The gaming conversation got lame, I tuned out, so whatever was said I'm sure it was that he liked the gift:)
Big smiles must mean we did a decent job of making sure his birthday wasn't a total waste.

Thank you! Cake was sooo cute... and those are big smiles... you guys are making his stay almost too comfy... don't know if he'll want to come back to our mad house ;)
