{Firefly}.

This past Saturday I ran in the 4th annual Firefly Run for my 2nd year in a row.  If you follow me on FB you probably read my pleas to get people to sign up:)

We ended up with a really good team this year, 2 of which were newbies to running a 5K and they did awesome! 

We had 8 people total run under the team name of, "Angels and Autism".  Angels = our dear friend Tracy who lost her life this past January and Autism = for my G and every other child who is struggling in a world that is harming them further.

My awesome friend Kathy drove down from OK for this race and she made these amazing T's for the race! The sleeves had Tracy's name on one and G's on the other, it couldn't get any cooler than that:)

Sad but funny story: My nephew (pictured above w/my sister-his mom), drove 4 hours again to do this race with me.  Last year my nephew placed 3rd in his age division.  This year, he placed 1st in his age division and 4th overall, he rocked it (you would too if you could run a mile in under 5 minutes)!!  Sad thing is, his mom didn't notice she needed to check the "time chip" box when she registered them to allow for him to get a medal.  He was not happy but next year will be here before you know it and I'm sure he'll beat everyone there!
