24 Hours of Snow!

We just got dumped on for a full 24 hours, it was crazy! The weather man says this is the most snow this area has received since the 1970's. Since Home Depot and Wal-Marts don't sell snow shovels (no reason to really) my neighbor across the street had his teenage son pushing snow to the side on his driveway with his foot, no joke! Here are a few picks of how beautiful my living space looks right now...

This is on top of our picnic table.  The weather man says our area was supposed to receive 1-3 inches and instead we got 9+! 

Our poor brand new landscaping:( This is actually a tree and it can't even stand up under the weight! I'm hoping our landscape company will honor their warranty if all these new plants are dead after this!

This is our neighbors tree.  It completely collapsed and there were so many birds swarming it this morning (I'm thinking they were trying to save their nests).

I am so thankful for the snow, it actually feels like winter and I needed that.  Last night the power went out too so Mr. D and I played Battleship until it came back on, it was fun!  It was also one of those nights that all the freshly fallen snow made it look as bright as day outside so it was nice to just stare out the window and take in the beautiful white silence.
